So, as I mentioned before I was waiting patiently to hear back if Lylah was getting into the full-day program. I had also told my neighbor friend about it as well so she could apply for her daughter, I thought it would be fantastic for the girls to have friends in their class. Well, Neighbor friend tells me she heard back (via e-mail) that her daughter AND son were accepted. I am puzzled so I frantically (kicked my mom off the computer) went to check my e-mail, and there was nothing…. So I call the school, I didn’t even need to state my name because she already knew who I was o_0 She then explained to me that Lylah was placed on the waiting list and if one of the 20 people they accepted into the program either denied their spot or were absent for 10 days (they would be removed from the program-opening up a spot) then, Lylah would remain on the waiting list. Needless to say I was VERY unhappy.. and I have been having a bit of an unlucky streak lately, so at this moment I felt like the world was coming to an end and everything was out to get me (obviously not the case but I was being overdramatic).
So, I did not bother dwelling on any of that, what was the point? I quickly moved on back to my busy life. I had been promising the girls ALL summer that I would take them to Dutch Wonderland. So we previewed the park Wednesday evening from 5:30-8:30 and then went the following day (ALL DAY LONG) 11-8:30. I am Dutch Wonderlanded (yes I made this word up) out.The girls did have a BLAST.

I can honestly say, I do not know where Kayleigh got her non-adventurous personality from. Her father and I used to go to Six Flags every summer and LIVE on the roller coasters, but this child right here? Will not step foot on one! And the one at DW is a tiny baby little itty bitty thing. Well, Lylah on the other hand, it is like I created her without any help at all. This girl wanted to go on the big roller coaster with Mommy. After getting off the first time I asked her how it was… “THAT was totally AWESOME” and we went again. Then to be fair to Kayleigh we went on other rides til the end of the night. There was NO line at the roller coaster, so Lylah and I went on 4 times in a row! The second time around, she turns to me “Mommy put your arms up, like this!” Don’t get me wrong, I love both my children the same.. but Lylah, there is something about her. She is my true Mini-me!

We all had an equally good time on the swings, probably the only ride we ALL agreed on.
So Friday, it is back to work and back to the real world. Well, did I mention I work at a hotel? SO, I work front desk and there are a number of us gals. I got a text from my co-worker Thursday night that two of the girls quit. Same day. Leaving us, just me and the co-worker who text me. Seriously? While at work friday morning, I got a call from the Hildebrandt Learning Center. Before she even finished telling me a spot opened up and asked me if I wanted it, I had already said yes. I could not be any more excited for Lylah, this is going to be SOOOO awesome for her, plus less stress on me trying to figure out 1/2 day schedules with my 7am-3pm work schedule! Goes to show, everything works out in the end, one way or another. Kayleigh will start school Aug 26th, going into 3rd grade and Lylah will be starting her Pre-K class Sept 3rd. This year is going to be amazing and I cannot wait!
That’s enough for now! TTYL

PS- This is our 5 month old Kitten, Figaro… How CUTE is he? With his little mohawk!?! Love him! My furbaby!
