Happy Labor Day!
Last Monday was Kayleigh’s first day of Third Grade… yes, I said it, THIRD grade! *sniffle* Where o where has my baby gone? Where o where can she be?
It was great seeing all the kids out there waiting for the bus stop this year, there are quite a bit more children that I have seen in the last 4 years, I think.
Kayleigh and her best bud, Riley.
Miss Lylah pants was upset because she still has to wait a week before she starts her school. So, we decided to have a semi-special day, just me and her. We went to Sonic and got lunch and then went over to the “red park” (the girls call it the red park because most of the jungle gym is red?). We ate lunch at the park and just hung out for a bit until it was time for us to head home so I could get ready to go into work for the evening.
The next day was… dun dun dun… Lylah’s evaluation day. So, we got Kayleigh off to school and then had to hop in the car and head to “the city” to her evaluation. The woman, basically told me my daughter is fine, she is completely normal. o_0 She has the personality of someone with OCD, but she doesn’t think Lylah has OCD, she just feels that she likes things a particular way and orderly. If things do not go her when then this creates anxiety and that is why she throws her lengthy fits. So she said we just need to teach her some coping skills and she should be fine. Which should make me feel relieved, but idk, I just don’t think that’s it. I’m no expert but it just seems like there is something more than that. The other night she threw a fit for an hour because I wouldn’t turn the volume up on the tv for her (it was already loud enough AND she knows where the remote it, why would I do it?) Who knows, we’ll see I guess!
Tomorrow *sniffle* Lylah starts school! There will be a post, with lots of pictures!
Stay Tuned….
